World of Beer Prep Cook Standards

  • Responsible for spec food preparation, food quality, and productivity
  • Must always maintain focus on safety, sanitation and cleanliness of their work station
  • Must be able to work as a positive member of the WOB Team
  • Works with a sense of urgency and energy

Position Purpose

To provide perfectly prepared WOB Menu item ingredients to be used by the kitchen staff.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the WOB recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
  • Follow the prep list created by Kitchen management.
  • Labeling and stocking all ingredients so they can be organized and easily accessible.
  • Setting up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.
  • Ensure all food and station items are stored properly.
  • Maintain clean work environment.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Prep Cook or in a similar role is a plus.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Must be able follow directions of Kitchen Manager.

Work Requirements

  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop, push and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
  • Must have exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.
  • Flexible schedule.
  • All BOH Manager and hourly positions might include the ability to withstand frequent exposure to high and low temperatures, smoke, and steam. There is also frequent contact with sanitary latex gloves, sanitation solutions, all food products to include, but not limited to: meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, dairy and produce items.
  • You must have the ability to learn and understand how to prepare all food items on our menu to our World of Beer specifications, appearance and standards in a timely manner.
